| Translations: How to send documents |
| There are several ways in which you can obtain an estimate of the time and cost involved in translating your document.
A The most common way that customers send documents to us is through email. Our email address is lingua@linguaintl.com. We support a wide variety of file formats, including Rich Text Format (RTF), Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF), HTML, and many more. In the email, please include information regarding the target language into which you would like the document to be translated. Your document will be analyzed and a quotation will be prepared and emailed to you.
B A second option is to fax the document to us. Our fax number is (412) 788-8236. In the fax, please include information regarding the target language into which you would like the document to be translated. The document will be reviewed and a quotation will be returned to you by whatever means you specify.
C If your document is on paper, please mail the document to our postal address. Your document will be analyzed and a quotation will be prepared and communicated to you.

| OUR APPROACH |
| Lingua believes that the human aspect of translation is the most important component of the translation process. Lingua utilizes human translation, with assistance from intelligent machine translation tools. Native speakers of the target language are always used. Machine translation tools are used throughout the translation process, but they lack contextual uniqueness and idiosyncrasies of the culture. Human translated documents are stored in repositories at Lingua's translation offices. When a document is submitted for translation, we check to see if a prior translation has been done for that document type. If the document has already been translated, the system looks for incremental differences between the translated document and the new document. Those differences are highlighted as an exception and given to a human translator, along with the entire document. The document is translated and posted to the repository. Another translator, for quality assurance, then proofs the translated document. The translated document is sent back to the client in the format and delivery method preferred by the client. This can result in significant cost savings to our clients, as well as providing consistent, quality translation services. |
